7/5 Photos: Good for Your Soul

Just some pictures from today. Visited Sainte-Chapelle, the Conciegerie, Sainte-Germain-des-Prés, and the Rodin Museum. Amazing places and amazing day. Exhausting. I took a three-hour nap when I got home, and I hope it doesn’t impact my sleep tonight. Enjoy!

Sainte-Chapelle, stained glass.

Sainte-Chapelle, stained glass and reliquary (with a bad camera).

Sainte-Chapelle. More stained glass.

The Conciegerie main entrance. The people in robes on the right were probably lawyers.

The Gates of Hell (and some guy who wouldn’t step out of the way).

The three shades.

The Burghers of Calais.

Tried (but apparently failed) to grab a photo of the title of this piece. A painting from Rodin’s early career. It’s a good one.

Monument to Victor Hugo.

The Kiss. Originally based on Francesca da Ramini’s story from Canto V of The Inferno.

Saint John the Baptist and hands.

The Thinking Guy. Mr. Thinks. Thoughtster.

Balzac.
