The Eiffel Tower is a feat of modern engineering the truss system that makes it so safe to go up and down. 
The view is also fantastic. The other thing I find amazing is that it was meant to be a temporary structure to be the center piece of the 1889 World’s fair yet it has managed to escape demolition and lasted over 120 years. It survived only because it made a great broadcasting tower for early radio.
