First Day

July 1, 2017

Made it! So excited to be here but exhausted. I can not sleep on planes nor cars it is just fact at this point. So I figured I would write this blog in an effort to keep myself awake till 8:00pm when I can go to bed without making my jet lag horrible tomorrow. The plane ride wasn’t bad there was no terrible turbulence or anything and the little girl sitting in the row in front of me was adorable she kept peering between the seats to see everyone sitting behind her. I know airline food is horrible in general and being in economy seating you don’t get the greatest service form the stewards and stewardesses, but it’s pretty sad when they can’t tell you the allergy contents on the things that aren’t labeled. I have to wonder what would happen and they send someone into anaphylactic shock because they couldn’t read the allergy warnings for something or someone comes on board with severe enough allergies that they can’t be in the same room as their allergen. I bet if that happened an airline might get sued for reckless endangerment or something.  Even with two Epi-pens they have only about thirty minutes to land at the nearest airport and get that person to the hospital. Which is a really morbid thought that on long flights like the one I took over an ocean and they can’t get to a hospital in time.  I shouldn’t really blog when I am this sleep deprived. On a happier note the flight was smooth and made it to the place we are staying at without much trouble. There was a bit of confusion on which building we were suppose to go to check in but there were seven of us together and we found it eventually. We got there at 9:00am only to find out we couldn’t check in and get to our rooms till 5:00pm. So we had about eight hours of time to kill. Which is why I am writing this blog post out of boredom, though I have to post it July 2nd because we don’t get access to Wi-Fi till tonight as well.  But super excited to be in Paris, France since I have never been in France before.
