Sewers- Period.

Unfortunately, I did not make it to the Musée des égouts….. after hearing some accounts (no shade at all) it sounds like I made the right choice by keeping my breakfast in my tummy where I prefer it. I’ve done some light googling, and I kind of want to roast the museum’s website. They are giving me NOTHING! Dr. Turdean would be rolling.

My synopsis is that they’re really proud of the guy who figured out how to recycle water. Now people are less diseased and some of the sludge still goes to agricultural use. I am also really proud of Mr. Belgrand; fresh water, hygiene, and recycling are all great things to combine into one!

I would love to hear more from my peers who went, if you learned something really exciting please share it below. Google is really dry on the topic. I’m sure the museum had so much knowledge to impart. Also, how was the gift shop and did anyone get anything?

This post doesn’t really fit a theme, sorry! Just wanted to maybe hear some more from others perspectives. Rachel said she really liked learning about it (please comment and tell me more). Period.

  1. Sadly, the gift shop was closed. But on a previous visit, I bought a rat stuffie. It’s in my office if you want to see it. I named it « Rémy »
