What a Ride

Top Five Favorite rides at Disneyland Paris

5. Indiana Jones and the Temple of Doom – (7/10) I think this coaster was in adventure land. This coaster only had a 20-minute wait time, which was great. It was fast with lots of twists and turns and a loop. However, this did cause me to hit my head a lot on the sides of the headrests. I wish there had been a part where you are chased by the giant ball. I also wished the ride had been longer but considering the short wait time, it was okay.
4. Big Thunder Mountain – (8/10) So we waited in line for this ride for over an hour. (that’s the longest we waited for a ride all day) It was a super fun ride and worth the wait. No loops or corkscrews but still fun. I liked how a lot of the ride was outside which was different from most of the other rides we rode.

3. Rockin Roller-coaster – (9/10) This ride only had a ten minute wait time when we got to it which was awesome. Due to this, we rode it several times. This ride was one of my favorites from Disney World in Florida and the Paris edition did not disappoint. It was fast, loud, and had lots of loops and corkscrews. We also got some funny pictures of us on the ride.

2. Crushes Coaster – (9.5/10) I was not too sure about this ride at first, but I quickly became one of my favorites. I was not expecting any of the sudden drops, turns, or our turtle shell spinning around. This ride is based on the turtles in Finding Nemo. (one of my favorites) Basically, four people sit in a turtle shell, two facing forward and two facing backward. Then during the ride, it spins around so you experience it going both ways. All the glow in the dark fishes were also super cool.
1. Hyperspace Mountain – (10/10) This was the best ride of the day. It was also the best way to end our day at Disney. This ride had shut down earlier in the day, so we were pretty excited to find out it was open. I think that this was the fastest, most intense roller-coaster we rode. It was Star Wars themed and featured projections of ships and the death star during the ride. I liked how dark this ride was it really felt like we were flying through space.

Honorable Mentions:
RC Rider Coaster – (6.5/10) This coaster was in the Toy Story part. Basically, you get in the RC car from the movie and ride back and forth on a horseshoe-shaped track. Looking at the track it did not look like it went that high but once we got on, we realized how high it was. Once you pick up speed and go all the way up, it feels like you are free-falling for a brief second.

Tower of Terror – (7/10) This ride was really fun but just not as exciting as the ones that made the top five. I do have to say the first part was a little boring. You just stand in a room and watch a short clip. Then I had to wait for like another 10-15 minutes to get on the main part of the ride. The ride consists of lifting you in an elevator and dropping you. I think it would have been really fun if I was not expecting the drops. Even though I was expecting the first drop, it still felt like my soul left my body for a second.

Crushes Coaster will always be #1 in my heart but Tower of Terror really did instill a feeling of absolute terror deep within our subconscious to the point of feeling paranoid just riding the metro. And that’s worth noting

That Rockin Roller-coaster picture is amazing! Tower of Terror is fun, but when I don’t get scared by it, and I’m a scaredy-cat, you know its not too bad!
